CTR Licensing Manager

The Centre for Trophoblast Research (CTR) is seeking to recruit a Licensing Manager to support the interface of clinical and basic sciences research. Reporting to the Director, the Licensing Manager will help expand the network of clinical collaborators and support the development of innovative research within the CTR, ensuring Cambridge remains a world leader in research in placental biology and reproduction.

The Licensing Manager will be responsible for managing all of the CTR licensing activities including liaising with collaborating clinics, maintaining updated nationally regulated licences and National Health Research Authority Research Ethics Committee (NHRA REC) approved research projects, submissions of licence renewals, amendments and annual reports. They will provide oversight of the CTR Human Uterus in Pregnancy and Disease Biobank and act as chair of the management committee. They will also facilitate donation of human embryos consented and donated to the CTR for specific research including oversight of records and databases to ensure regulatory compliance. The post holder will coordinate the provision of training in licensing. They will train and manage CTR Technicians to ensure donated samples are recorded and stored appropriately and that codes of practice and relevant health and safety regulations are implemented.
