Directions

By road

Arriving on the M11 motorway, exit at junction 11 and follow the signs into Cambridge. Pass the Trumpington Park & Ride on the left. Continue on the same road all the way into the city passing through Trumpington, past several large private schools on the right and then a piece of common land that often has horses/cattle on the left. Ultimately, arrive at a pair of mini-roundabouts adjacent to a large hotel (The Royal Cambridge). Go straight ahead at the first roundabout, then immediately right at the second onto Lensfield road. Turn first left, after about 50 metres, into Tennis Court Road (this is one way!). Note: parking is restricted, and we would ask that you please make arrangements beforehand. Paid parking is available nearby in the Grand Arcade.

You may also wish to consider using one of the many Park & Ride sites around the edge of the city. Following the directions above, as soon as you've left the M11 and turned right towards Cambridge, the Park & Ride is obvious on the left. Buses depart every ten minutes, from around 7 am until after 7 pm. PDN is within 5 minutes' walking distance of the Cambridge bus/coach station in Drummer Street.

From Cambridge railway station

The Trainline App and National Rail website may be useful in planning your journey to Cambridge. Take a taxi from outside the station to Tennis Court Road (About a five minute ride, depending on traffic. It should cost around £8). Alternatively, walk (15-20 minutes) as follows: follow Station Road from the railway station to the War Memorial on Hills Road (the first T junction); turn right and follow Hills Road to the Catholic Church (a large blackened stone building on the left) at the corner of Hills Road and Lensfield Road; turn left and follow Lensfield Road to Tennis Court Road (first on the right).

From Stansted airport

We highly recommend flying into Stansted airport. The railway station is located conveniently beneath the terminal building. For information about trains to Cambridge, see the Trainline App, Stansted Airport website and National Rail. Alternatively, a taxi takes about 30 minutes and costs £40-£60. There is also an hourly coach service to Cambridge, see the National Express website.

From Heathrow & Gatwick airports

From Heathrow, take the Tube to King's Cross (Piccadilly Line) and transfer to a direct train to Cambridge (Great Northern), or take the Tube to Farringdon (Elizabeth Line) and transfer to a direct train to Cambridge (Thameslink). From Gatwick, take the direct train to Cambridge (Thameslink)

Trains run frequently between both London King's Cross and London Liverpool Street stations and Cambridge. Follow the directions above from Cambridge railway station.
