Dr Ulla Sovio

Dr Ulla Sovio is Research Professor at the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, University of Cambridge, where she studies adverse pregnancy outcomes using statistical and machine learning methods. Her research interests include clinical risk prediction and screening tool development. Ulla participated in developing a screening test using maternal, ultrasonic and placental biomarker data from the Pregnancy Outcome Prediction Study (POPS), which is currently being evaluated in an intervention trial within POPS2. In addition to being a trial statistician, Ulla is analysing omics data to further improve the identification of high risk pregnancies.
